Who Else Wants to Have Flat Abs?
Posted by Dana Thinny in Fitness on February 9, 2009
Do you remember the times when having a big belly was the latest fashion? I’m not surprised that you can’t remember, as such a moment never existed. Nobody ever liked fat people. They were the target of many jokes across ages.
What can you possibly do if you are not thin and your constitution shows that you never will be, no matter how many diets you’d be willing to follow? You can get a flat stomach. If your belly is flat, then the other rounded shapes are beautiful. The belly is the one that makes fat people look ugly.
Beauty has changed with times. Our grandmothers’ beauty is not ours and our standard has few in common with the one of our daughters. This is how generations fight for their right to look like they want. Many times, this standard leads to obsessions or severe nutritional troubles, which can influence the quality of life, if not properly diagnosed and treated.
Wanting to have flat abs is not a shame, and this is a perfectly attainable goal, even if you are overweight. However, if you are obese, you may want to consult your physician before attempting to do any fitness exercise. Such things can harm you.
If you are in good health, then you can make your abdomen flat in less than half a year. Work your body, do a lot of cardio, live healthily and eat with measure. you’ll see the difference, not only in your belly, but also in your mood.
Don’t just buy books that teach you how to get slim. Don’t ask your friends and neighbors what did they do to lose so much weight. Ask a doctor about that. Medical staff can give you customized advice, according to your body health and condition.
One fact to be considered is your need to have flat abs. Maybe it is just a moment’s wish and not a permanent ideal of yours. If this is the case, you can give up losing weight and flattening your abs, because you won’t get happier.
How Can You Be Sure You’re Buying Genuine Hoodia Weight Loss Pill
Posted by Simon Newsome in Health on January 1, 2009
Genuine Hoodia weight loss pills are perhaps the most remarkable dietary supplement to help people lose weight that we have ever seen. But if you are considering buying Hoodia pills to help you lose some excess weight, then it is important that you exercise a good deal of caution and check the Hoodia certification of the supplement you purchase.
Since Hoodia has had such a terrific press, and has proved to be so incredibly popular, why is it important to be cautious about something that has been promoted as an entirely natural, side-effect free weight loss supplement? The answer is simple: many Hoodia supplements on the market have no effect. Unfortunately, because these particular dietary pills have become so very popular recently, they have become the same target for the cheats as many other diets and weight loss solutions. There have been many fake or watered-down versions of Hoodia supplements that have relatively little to do with the original plant that has provided us with this remarkable appetite suppressant.
Before you purchase what you believe to be genuine Hoodia weight loss pills, there are several things you really should check to ensure that what you are purchasing is the genuine article. Anything less than real Hoodia and not only will you almost certainly not see any benefit whatsoever in terms of your appetite being suppressed, but there may also be a number of unwelcome side effects which would not be present were you to have taken genuine Hoodia tablets.
The first thing to look for is to make sure that you are purchasing Hoodia Prime, since this is the name given to the plant from which the chemical which is responsible for inducing the appetite suppression is sourced, and is likely to indicate whether the contents of the tablets have been directly extracted from the plant, or synthetically created in a laboratory. However, it is easy to place that word on a label, and there are other ways of ensuring the purity of your appetite suppressant. Before discussing these, let’s first have a look at what Hoodia actually is.
Natural Hoodia comes from a small, fairly unremarkable little cactus-like succulent (but not a cactus) which is discovered naturally only in certain regions of Southern Africa between Central Namibia and the southern parts of Angola. Although a fairly recent discovery as far as the Western world is concerned, it has long been known by the Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert that this plant has a remarkable ability to stave off hunger for a considerable period of time.
This was of particular benefit to them, as by eating some of the Hoodia flesh just before heading off for a hunt, the bushmen were then able to continue hunting for three or four days without having to worry about stopping to eat. This astonishing plant’s natural benefits have resulted in it sometimes been difficult to identify genuine Hoodia weight loss pills from those merely cashing in on the name but without providing pure Hoodia extract.
An important way in which you can verify the purity of hoodia weight loss pills or tablets before you purchase is by checking for the certification. An export license from the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) is necessary before genuine Hoodia can leave Africa, and importers in to the USA need a permit from the Department of Agriculture (USDA Permit).
What that means is that if your supply of Hoodia does not offer details of the CITES and USDA documentation, then it is false. Hoodia tablets that carried this certification, are more likely to be the genuine article. Because the bushmen in the Kalahari Desert have been eating Hoodia Prime for countless generations without any side-effects or health problems, it is reasonably safe to suggest that taking a supplement which is pure in its extract from this plant should not cause any unwanted side-effects or health issues for the vast majority of people who take it. However, Hoodia tablets which are not entirely pure may be contaminated with other chemicals and compounds which could cause a number of unpleasant side-effects.
It is fairly obvious that if you take a tablet advertised as being entirely safe and free from side effects, and then find that, not only do you suffer from unpleasant side-effects but also that your appetite is not suppressed and you are not able to lose the weight that you had anticipated, then you are going to be put off trying any such so-called supplements in the future. That is the disservice that those who try to pass Hoodia look-alikes as what they are not are doing to you and to many others.
In a recent laboratory analysis of all of the leading brands that use Hoodia within the name of their dietary supplement pills, 80% failed the basic tests that identified the level of purity which should be contained or identified. It is evident, therefore, that a significant number of people who purchase what they believe to be Hoodia Prime diet pills are actually buying a product which is unlikely to have any effect, or at least any positive effects, whatever.
This is a shame, because genuine Hoodia weight loss pills are not only entirely safe, but absolutely remarkable in their ability to suppress hunger in a highly effective way without causing any physiological harm to you at all. Those people who have been able to identify successfully pure Hoodia in tablet form have had tremendous success in being able to lose a significant portion of their excess weight. Many of those have been able to offer positive reviews of the particular product that they purchase, and in combination with checking for the CITES certification, this can help identify the genuine pills from the fakes.
So, to summarize, what you should do to be sure that your supply of Hoodia is genuine is to look for the term ‘Prime’ Hoodia and make sure that the product comes with a CITES license and the USDA permit. If that is confirmed, then you have just purchased genuine Hoodia weight loss pills with genuine Hoodia certification, and can relax in the knowledge that your weight is shortly to begin that downward spiral that you want.
Hoodia – Does Hoodia Really Work For Fat Loss?
Posted by Matthew Loop in Health on November 18, 2008
If you are anxious to get fat loss going, you’ve likely looked into the diet supplement, hoodia. Hoodia gordonii is a plant that was used in South African many years ago by hunters who would need to go for long durations of time without food and grows very slowly in harsh conditions and needs to be harvested for four to five years before it’s ready.
But how well does Hoodia really work for fat loss? Many people turn to hoodia thinking it is the answer to all their prayers. Never hungry? Sounds like a dietary dream. After all, following a diet should be easy if you never have any feelings of hunger, shouldn’t it?
Unfortunately, it isn’t so simple.
First off, if you are a trying to get a lean, sexy midsection, not eating is the last thing you want to be doing. Sure, you definitely will need to eat less in order to lose body fat, but if you aren’t eating enough, you’ll actually just lose muscle rather than body fat. Since muscle tissue is your calorie burning engine, destroying it would be counterproductive to getting the results you want.
Who wants a slower metabolism at the end of the day? That’ll just make further fat loss next to impossible.
If hoodia is affecting your natural hunger signals, it will be hard to get in the foods that you do need – the foods that will work with your body to lose the body fat while still keeping muscle tissue intact.
Secondly, you must understand that hoodia is not a thoroughly tested product and cannot be deemed safe. If you take enough of it, it can actually damage your metabolism, causing a variety of thyroid issues that will be stuck with you into the future. While fat loss and getting abs is important, you must do it a healthy way so that you don’t do anything disrupting to your health.
Finally, hoodia diet pills are by no means a proper method to losing abdominal fat. In order to lose abdominal fat, you’re going to have to find a method that will be sustainable over the long term. If you think that you’re just going to skip eating for the years to come, you are very mistaken. You will not get the proper nutrients you need to sustain life, therefore, to put it bluntly, using hoodia as a means to help you maintain fat loss could very well put you in the hospital with severe malnutrition.
What you need is a diet that supplies all the nutrients you need, while still being affective with stomach fat loss. Then, you’ll also need to make sure this diet is something you can work into your lifestyle so that your abs aren’t going to be just covered up by more body fat again once you move off the diet.
The more time you waste chasing after gimmicky supplements that only hurt you in the long run, the more time you spend without the results you are after.
The Best Exercises to Lose Belly Fat
Posted by Dino P Delellis in Health on October 25, 2008
There are a lot of us that are interested in losing a little bit of weight around the middle. Unfortunately, that tends to be where many of us carry the weight around, particularly if we are men. Far too many of us try to burn this weight off of our body by doing unusually difficult abdominal exercises, and lots of them. The simple fact of the matter is, you are not going to be able to burn belly fat off of your body by doing abdominal exercises alone. As a matter of fact, it is an exercise in futility for you to do so because it is impossible to target specific areas of fat on your body by doing specific exercises.
That doesn’t mean, however, that it is impossible to use an exercise in order to burn belly fat off of your body. As a matter of fact, the best exercises to lose belly fat don’t have anything to do with your abdominal region at all. If you truly want to have a flat stomach and perhaps even some sixpack abs, it is necessary for you to get at the core of the problem and to fire your metabolism so that the fat will melt off of your body from the inside out. Here are the best exercises to lose belly fat, some of which are sure to surprise you.
The first thing that you need to learn whenever it comes to losing belly fat is that it is necessary to do multi-joint exercises. These are exercises which work more than one muscle of the body. For example, a squat is a multi-joint exercise because it works a variety of muscles in the legs. A curl, on the other hand, is not a multi-joint exercise because it only works the biceps. You can spend all of your time in the gym if you want to, doing single joint exercises but most of us don’t have the time to take in order to get this kind of a workout. By doing multi-joint exercises for the largest muscles of your body, your legs, chest and back, you will be getting the most amount of work done in the shortest time possible.
Not only will your workouts be over faster, you will also begin to notice the fat burning off of your body very quickly. This is an amazing thing for many people who have been taught throughout the years that the only way for them to get a flat stomach is through a series of abdominal exercises. The simple fact of the matter is, the larger muscles of our body is what fires our metabolism and this is what will take the fat off of our body. Make sure that you are doing these on a regular basis but also giving your body adequate amounts of rest so that the muscles will have an opportunity to grow. You will end up lean and fit, something that many of us are very interested in obtaining.

You and your Health – Dino Delellis on Health
Hello, my name is Dino Delellis and this is the first article in my health blog. In this blog, I will be covering health topics as diverse as Beauty, Alternative therapies, Alternative Medicines and Fitness.
More Canadians and North Americans are overweight than ever before and the propensity in the direction of obesity appears to start from childhood. With so many fast food outlets pushing meats that have been forced to grow faster with additives such as growth hormone and liberal antibiotic regimes, its not a wonder that our kids are starting off life significantly heavier than their forefathers.
The presence of preservatives and their nitrate laden ingredients also don’t help the situation.
Daily we read of on going problems with what were thought to be safe chemicals like Bisphenol-A. Bisphenol-A is really a plastic and a petroleum byproduct that was thought to be fairly benign to humans until just recently. It has now been banned in baby bottles in Canada and further research is showing that it may also be harmful to adults too.
So, this blog will cover some of those topics in some detail. Thanks.
Stay tuned.
