Trying to lose weight while not getting good sleep is like trying to push a boulder up a hill. Your body cannot lose weight at maximum speed if you aren\’t sleeping well.
Unfortunately, many weight loss hopefuls do not know how to get quality sleep.
So here are 6 ways to sleep more to lose more weight:
1. Don\’t let any light hit your eyes: Light is a very powerful stimulant for waking you up. And if light is hitting your face early in the morning, it will be very hard for you to go back to sleep. So make sure there isn\’t a single ray of light disrupting your sleep.
2. Exercise as early as possible: The earlier you exercise the better. You see, as the day progresses a chemical builds up in your brain. And towards the end of the day, this build up induces sleepiness. Exercise is a great way to enhance this build up.
3. Decrease the size of your last meal by half: This is a very simple, yet effective strategy for helping you fall asleep quicker. You see, this trick helps your metabolism slow down which in turn helps you sleep better. After all, your body naturally shuts down it\’s metabolism so that you can sleep.
4. Get a light box: Not only is this more convenient than basking in the sun all day, but it\’s much safer. Recall that light is a very powerful stimulant for keeping you awake. And the more awake you are during the day, the better you will sleep at night.
5. Decrease ambient temperature: By decreasing the temperature of your room you will further increase your chances of getting good sleep. You see, your body sleeps best when its core temperature slightly falls. And keeping ambient temperature low is a great way to enhance this.
6. Never sleep in: In fact, waking up at the same time every day is probably the best way to establish a solid sleep wake cycle. So never deviate here even if it\’s the weekend. Your body and mind will thank you for this because they work best with stable patterns.
A good night\’s sleep is something you deserve every day of your life. So don\’t delay in taking action on this advice, act now!
The thyroid gland is essential for proper human development and function, so when thyroid problems occur they can have serious consequences. A natural medicine for thyroid treatment is commonly sought after in lieu of a costly prescription.
Prescription medications (also called synthetics) for the thyroid are laboratory made with chemicals that can cause undesired side effects. Seafoods, sea plants, and other similar organic ingredients used in supplements are a natural medicine for thyroid treatment with the added benefit of no side effects.
So what does the thyroid gland do? In a nutshell, the thyroid gland is responsible for producing thyroid hormone. So what is a hormone? A hormone is a chemical that is secreted by glands throughout the body and tells specific body parts what to do. Thyroid hormone is largely responsible for the metabolism of the body and keeping the body functioning normally.
Two major hormones produced by the thyroid gland:
*Triiodothyronine — also referred to as T3
*Thyroxine — also referred to as T4
The 3 and 4 relate directly to the amount of iodine molecules necessary to create these hormones. This is explained below.
How does the thyroid gland create hormones?
It does it with iodine. Iodine is a mineral found in foods such as fish, some seafoods, salt, and dairy products. Iodine is essential in the creation of thyroid hormone. The thyroid cells are the only cells in the body that have the ability to absorb iodine. When a specific number of iodine molecules combine with tyrosine (an amino acid used by cells to build protein) it can form triiodothyronine or thyroxine. That’s how T3 and T4 (as stated above) are derived. Three molecules of iodine will create triiodothyronine; four molecules of iodine will create thyroxine.
