<p>You may have seen a whole new slew of advertisements online and on television trying to revamp the poor image of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). They are basically trying to promote this junk food additive as \&#8221;healthy\&#8221;.</p>
<p>The advertising campaigns don\&#8217;t come right out and make the claim that high fructose corn syrup is \&#8221;health food\&#8221;, but they do try to get clever and fool people into thinking that it\&#8217;s not bad for your health. In fact, they make these misleading claims:</p>
<p>\&#8221;It\&#8217;s all natural\&#8221;</p>
<p>\&#8221;It\&#8217;s no worse for you than table sugar\&#8221;</p>
<p>\&#8221;It\&#8217;s made from corn\&#8221;</p>
<p>\&#8221;It has the same calories as table sugar\&#8221;</p>
<p>As you can see, these ads are trying to deceive us into thinking that HFCS isn\&#8217;t so bad after all&#8230; I mean, they do say that it\&#8217;s \&#8221;all natural\&#8221; and \&#8221;made from corn\&#8221;. These ads are pure sleaze!</p>
<p>In my opinion, these ads are highly immoral. For one, as if our nation, and the world for that matter, wasn\&#8217;t already suffering an obesity epidemic, as well as skyrocketing degenerative diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Now, they\&#8217;re trying to make matters worse by fooling innocent people into thinking that high fructose corn syrup is somehow healthy. Meanwhile, as society and our kids get fatter and more unhealthy, they\&#8217;re lining their pockets with massive profits since HFCS is in the majority of processed food.</p>
<p>As for their claim that HFCS is \&#8221;no worse for you than sugar\&#8221;&#8230; I\&#8217;m not even going to discusss any of the science about how HFCS affects the leptin and insulin process in your body, your blood sugar process, appetite levels, etc. Instead, I want to make a more important point:</p>
<p>Who cares if HFCS is \&#8221;no worse for you than sugar\&#8221;&#8230; because sugar is one of the worst things you can ingest in your body anyway, so it is not even a valid argument!</p>
<p>The point you need to understand is that if you want to be lean and healthy for life, you should be minimizing, or even eliminating all sugar and high fructose corn syrup. In fact, most processed food should be eliminated altogether if you want to be serious about getting lean.</p>
<p>As for their claim that HFCS is \&#8221;all-natural\&#8221;&#8230; don\&#8217;t even get me started! It\&#8217;s just a ridiculous statement to begin with. I don\&#8217;t care if you call it \&#8221;natural\&#8221; or artificial, the bottom line is that it\&#8217;s a highly processed, refined substance that makes you fat!</p>
<p>So the next time you\&#8217;re thinking about drinking that can of soda, or eating that candy bar or cupcakes, just think about how that is only going directly against your efforts to lose body fat and can even lead to other health problems in excess.</p>

Usually, it can seem a little too much and even a little bit awful&#8230; All you need to do is get moving and walk. Whatever exercise program you opt to go for, walking should be an integral part of it.</p>
<p>First, when you\&#8217;re creating a workout program, be sure and include walking as a day-to-day activity. This is easy if you have a dog &#8211; simply take it for a minimum of 10 minute plus walk every day. It may only have been ten minutes, but in a week that equals to 70 minutes, which is quite a great deal of walking. Want a bit more work out? Take your dog for two walks a day. What about walking to your office, or at least part of the way? You can try this irrespective of the distance of your home from work. Of course, you\&#8217;ll need to walk back at the end of your work day, too, so that doubles your work out &#8211; which is terrific! But then, if you ride a bus to work, just use a bus stop farther away than the one you ordinarily use. It\&#8217;s easy to integrate walking to your daily routine.</p>
<p>Walking is one of the easiest and best things you can do to become healthier. It\&#8217;s simply because walking is one of the best aerobic exercises. This means it\&#8217;s not just great for your heart, but you\&#8217;ll experience weight loss also. You shouldn\&#8217;t be anxious about overworking your joints or muscles like when running, since you can go as slowly as you must. I have a skinny brother who seems to be able to eat anything he wants and remain slim. I asked him about it. He told me how much he walks daily, and it\&#8217;s a lot more than I do. At least it now adds up. There is no good reason not to exercise, when walking is so simple.</p>
<p>You\&#8217;ve got a better chance of keeping your walking program if you just make it part of your everyday routine. Then, with a proper, nutritious diet, you\&#8217;ll also be on your way to losing weight as if by magic. By walking you\&#8217;ll also feel better and you won\&#8217;t be discouraged by it because it\&#8217;s not strenuous at all, which will make you feel more motivated. The more you walk, the more you\&#8217;ll be wanting to walk . . . and the more quickly you\&#8217;ll want to walk. Why not, if you think you can do a lot more? Try walking more quickly or, if you\&#8217;re feeling very self-confident, you could start jogging. And you can progress to even more strenuous exercise plans, if you prefer.</p>
<p>Now the cat\&#8217;s out of the bag &#8211; there is simply no excuse to not get out there and start walking. You can always find time to walk around your workplace, or the block.
