Most beauty spas offer body wraps as a skin care treatment. They first started out as a way to tighten and firm the skin, but have only recently been used as a cellulite removal treatment. A body wrap firms the body, reduces excess fluids and helps to remove toxins.
Body wrapping works as follows. Elastic cloth or seaweed have different minerals or ingredients soaked into them. The cloth or seaweed is then wrapped around the problem areas. Often the cloths are heated to introduce sweating to remove the toxins. The whole treatment takes about 1 hour.
The ingredients that the cloths or seaweed are soaked in can include exfoliate, mud masques, massage oil, anti-stress oil or cellulite cream. Other natural products include seaweed extract and coffee.
Body wrapping is popular among women and beauty therapists, with many clients saying that their treatment resulted in a diminished cellulite appearance, a firmer body and softer skin. Of course, body wraps can have other positive benefits too. People find the process of being in a body wrap to be a pleasant and relaxing experience.
The cost of a body wrap can vary, with some spas charging as little as $100. More expensive spas charge over $300. The actual cost will depend on the length of the treatment and how much of your body you wanted to be treated. Some people forgo the expensive of a spa and buy a home body wrapping kit to treat themselves at home.
As with any cellulite treatment it shouldn’t be used in isolation. Other treatments such as massage, cream, exercise and dieting should be combined to produce the best result. You can do these treatments at home or have a trained beauty technician do it for you at your local spa.
One of the downside of body wrapping is that the results aren’t permanent. You will need to continue the treatment over the longer term to maintain your results. This means it can add up to be an expensive cellulite treatment if you are not careful. Many people use it has a relaxation method and believe that the money is well spent on the calming affects.
